    Kanze began sobbing uncontrollably as she viewed her grandmother's body, struggling to find the strength to continue.

    In this deeply emotional moment, her husband was by her side, offering a pillar of support.

    He held her tightly, comforting her as she tried to compose herself.

    As she spoke about her grandmother, the former state house spokesperson recalled the strict but loving nature of the matriarch.

  • "Our grandmother was a very strict person, alikuwa mkali, those who know her know that she was very strict. I remember that for me, she was not as easy-going as grandparents are often expected to be with their grandchildren, but I know it wasn’t out of malice. She was making me a better person," she said through her tears.

    Kanze continued, reflecting on the love her grandmother had shown, despite her tough exterior.

    "She never stopped loving me. Her love was pure and true for all of us. Out of all her grandchildren, I think I am the one who managed to see that in everything she did for us," she added.

    Amidst the rain that began to fall, Kanze concluded her tribute, expressing gratitude for the legacy her grandmother left behind.

    "The journey continues, you left us a few things, we thank you, and we shall do everything that you said. Lala salama," she said tearfully, with her husband standing firmly by her side in support.
