However, the bank suddenly halted the process without explanation, only to later discover a new advertisement for the same position they had been hired for.

“We were excited. This was a dream opportunity,” she lamented. "I resigned from my previous job. I used up all my savings to clear a loan because I was told I couldn't be employed with an existing debt. Now I have nothing.”

According to the group, the sequence began with an interview process that many described as rigorous and thorough.

    Applicants signed appropriate documentation

Once successful, they were called for documentation and later a training session that only lasted two days.

Then, they were abruptly informed that the training had been paused and they would be contacted. Weeks have passed without any official communication.

Bank's silence left applicants in limbo

The silence from the bank has left many of them depressed and uncertain about the future.

With the rising cost of living and scarce job opportunities, most say they are now struggling to survive.

“I’m barely hanging on. I don’t even know how to explain this to my family, who depends on me. I have all the messages they sent—this is not just a disappointment; it’s a crisis,” Sharon said, her voice trembling.

The affected group is now appealing for public support and urging media and relevant government authorities to investigate the matter and hold the institution accountable.

They are also calling on the bank to issue a formal statement and clarify their fate.

“This is not just about jobs. It’s about the dignity of over 150 young Kenyans who followed all the right steps, only to be left in the cold,” she concluded.

Lady loses job just 3 hours after reporting

In an almost similar story, another woman lost the job she got almost immediately after she reported for duty at the company.

In a video shared on TikTok, the lady noted that she accepted the job offer a month earlier, only for her to lose it on the day she reported.

She narrated how heartbreaking it was to be asked to leave the place three hours after coming to her new workplace.
