While this trend has left some women in trouble, it has also helped others discover that their men have kids they did not know about.

Lawrence told women not to date men who abandoned their kids to be in a relationship with them.

    In his words:

"Never date a man who has abandoned his kids or doesn't support them. Any man who is not loyal to his children will never be loyal to anyone."

  • What Lulu Hassan said about deadbeat dads

In a related story, TV host Lulu Hassan once addressed the rise in deadbeat fathers and termed it as a betrayal of one's lineage.

The Citizen TV news anchor called out men who watch their baby mamas struggle as they chase after other women and urged them to do better.

Her sentiments touched many, particularly women who supported her in criticising the deadbeat fathers' negligence.

Lulu has been married to TV journalist Rashid Abdalla for over 10 years and together they have three kids.

Influencer asks men to take up responsibilities

Elsewhere, X bigwig John Njenga noted how there were men who tend to avoid taking care of their kids until they are taken to court.

According to him, fighting for child support in court is an issue that can be avoided if only men manned up and took their responsibility after impregnating a woman.

Njenga added that pregnant women need both spiritual and financial support from the man responsible.

His statements saw many women support him while others questioned what happens in cases where one cannot remember who the father of the child is.

Are men over 25 having families?

In a separate report, a TikTok user sparked mixed reactions after stating that most men over 25 are not making attempts to settle down.

Moses Gathitu noted that there were men who were financially stable but were not interested in having a wife or kids.

He added that the trend was worrying many parents who silently question if their lineage will continue.

Gathitu further advised men to consider starting a family when they still have energy and grow alongside their children.

His opinion was however not welcomed by many people who reminded him of how things have changed over the years.
