A family from Rumbiye village, Funyula constituency, Busia county, is struggling to come to terms with the loss of a loved one.

Fen Palmer Bwire was emotionally laid to rest in his home village after he was found dead under unclear circumstances.

When was Palmer's body discovered?
The Mount Kenya University (MKU) student's body was found in the forest in a suspected murder incident.

The 19-year-old was allegedly murdered as his lifeless body was discovered on Monday, March 10, as shared by X user Davis M. Tariq.
Palmer's mother, Jerusah Bwire, talked with pain during her teenage son's burial while being comforted by her family members.
"He was hit by a blunt object that broke his skull. My son had fresh food in his stomach. He had eaten ugali and beans as his school dinner, so he was still in school till his final day. Even if he was murdered, he must have been murdered in school and his body dumped elsewhere," she heartbreakingly shared.
Busia mum blames MKU for son's death
The grieving mum said she desired that her son's death would be a sacrifice and offering that other children would not have to go through.
Jerusah noted there were conflicting reports surrounding the death of her teen son as she asked for justice.

"I want to ask the politicians and education officials, even if my son took his life, as other reports say, I want the school to be held accountable. I trusted them with my son. He did not have any debts or arrears at the school. They should have told me. All I want is an explanation from them. They need to tell me what happened until I found my son dead," she said.
She argued the school's administration turned a blind eye to the circumstances surrounding her son's death.
Busia MCA urged to intervene alleged murder case
A guest urged government officials, including the Member of County Assembly (MCA), to follow up on the matter and ensure justice was served.
He was convinced Palmer was murdered as he pleaded with the politician to ask relevant authorities to speed up investigations into the heartbreaking issue.
A woman urged the church to pray for the young people in the wake of the increasing number of deaths in the country.
"We have reached a point where people are killing each other like chickens. Things are not going well. Not only in town even here we are witnessing such cases," she said.

Dedan Kimathi University student found dead
In another story, it was a sorrowful moment as another university student was found dead.
Joseph Kinyua was a second-year mechanical engineering student at the Dedan Kimathi University of Science and Technology in Nyeri county.
His body was retrieved from the Embassy Dam, and the sight shattered the hearts of many.
Kinyua was mourned by his former high schoolmates and university mates as they penned emotional messages.
