According to Nelly, he excused himself to drink hot water but later confronted her, splashing the boiling liquid on her face.

In the chaos that ensued, Nelly managed to take her child and nanny to safety while Mwangi continued to advance towards her.

Neighbors intervened and rushed her to the hospital, while Mwangi fled the scene.

Nelly suffered burns to 25% of her body, and the incident was reported to Kiambu Police Station under OB number 03/29/08/2024.

Despite the brutal attack, she remains determined to use her pain as a source of strength.

Nelly shared that their relationship had previously been loving, with her supporting Mwangi’s business ventures.

However, tensions surfaced when she refused to move in with him, explaining that she was focused on her career and felt they weren’t both ready for that step. This disagreement appeared to have escalated into the violent attack.

Nelly is resolute, hoping her experience will prevent another woman from suffering similarly.

She expressed that every time she felt pain, she prayed it would help bring Mwangi to justice. Despite the trauma, she believes she is slowly regaining her strength.
