"When in Rome, do as the Romans do" seems to be a saying President Uhuru Kenyatta has embraced, during his maiden trip to India.
After receiving the traditional Indian ornamental and devotional dot applied on the forehead when he arrived at his hotel in New Delhi, the president was receptive to being adorned with yet another traditional attire popular in the Asian country.
Uhuru, together with Guinea Bissau President Jose Mario Vaz, was clad in the Kurta Pajama while attending a dinner hosted by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.

The dinner took place on Wednesday October 28, 2015, in honour of various African Heads of States attending the third India-Africa Summit.

The mens' Kurta Pajama suit is traditionally worn during formal and informal occasions in India and other Asian countries such as Pakistan.

Uhuru's four-day state visit in India is expected to strengthen ties between the two nations.

On top of attending the India-Africa forum, Uhuru will among other key functions address the production of ARV drugs to combat HIV/Aids in Kenya.
