"If I win the elections, I will continue ruling. If I don't win, I will go back home and continue farming, there's no problem," Ruto said.

The president called on his critics to allow him time to deliver on his pledges to Kenyans ahead of the next general election.

Ruto further said everyone should focus on their responsibilities, noting that he has been doing the same by improving education, agriculture, infrastructure, and the economy through the construction of modern markets.

"Is there any point in having discussions right now? Let everyone focus on the job Kenyans gave them. You asked me to improve the education sector, and I have done that. I’ve made sure the CBC system is running well, hired 76,000 teachers, and allocated more funds to universities and TVET institutions," Ruto said.
"I have improved the agriculture sector by ensuring farmers receive better pay. I am building roads, markets, and expanding electricity access to more homes. I will take my exams, and you will be the ones to grade them," he added.
